Which companies fly to Bodrum?
Many UK tour operators fly to Bodrum airport, usually from April to November. At other times of the year Bodrum is reachable by Turkish Airlines flights via Istanbul.
How easy is it to book flights?

Can a foreign national buy property in
Turkey?
Yes, except in some rural areas where there is no ‘Belediye’ (Town
Council) and in military zones. When you buy
a property you will need to apply for a
military permission as a formality. Please
refer to our procedure section for more
information.
If I purchase a property in Turkey, do
I need a residence permit?
No. However if you intend to stay in the country longer than 3 months,
want utilities (water, electricity) to be
registered in your name or want to send your
children to local schools, you will need to
apply for a residence permit. It is obtained
through application to the local police
authorities after your arrival in Turkey.
How do I pay for my utility bills?
If you are not living in Turkey, you can arrange for a direct debit from
your Turkish bank for electricity and phone
bills. Water bills are paid directly to the
Town Council. If your property is in a
‘site’ you may be able to arrange for their
payment with the site management while away.
Alternatively you may want to use the
services of a property management company.
Is it possible to finance a property purchase in Turkey with a
mortgage?
Yes .Our company is working with Denizbank and they are offering foreign
nationals a mortgage for the purchase of a
property.
What about property tax?
As a property owner you are liable to annual property tax. It is
calculated against the local municipal
valuation of your property (0.1% for
residential property, 0.3% for land). The
property tax is payable annually in two
instalments, at the end of May and at the
end of November. There is also a refuse
collection tax.
If I decide to sell my property, will I be liable to capital gain
tax?
From 1st January 2003 to 31st December 2008, gains made by individuals on
the sale of a residential property are tax
exempt provided the property has been held
for at least 4 years. This 4 year
requirement does not apply if the property
was inherited. Otherwise you will be liable
to capital gain tax.
What are schools like in Turkey?
The standard of education in Turkey is usually high. There are state or
private schools. Both of them offer good
standard. Some private schools have better
facilities in terms of sportive and cultural
events and often dispense classes in
English.
How can I furnish my property?
